Chris Brown just announced a new project called Privacy, which he’ll share new music from this week. In the meantime, he’s hopped on the buzzing single “Bruk Off Ya Back.” The dancehall single gets a North American touch with Brown’s slick R&B hooks, which may give it a boost in the U.S. market.

We’ve seen a lot of pop, rap and R&B artists embracing dancehall rhythms over the last little while, which has resulted in some big chart singles. It’s only right that a Jamaican artist earn a hit in North America, even if it takes a little help from a familiar voice.

Chris Brown is constantly on the hustle. He’s been one of the biggest stars on the planet for a minute now and it looks like he’s using his influence to his advantage by branching off into another industry – fashion.

Chris founded Black Pyramid Clothing with the intent of giving his fans quality clothing with awesome designs all for an appropriate price. The designs are pretty fire and the prices are not ones to complain about, if I do say so myself.

According to the brand’s website, the force behind the brand is its international community of tastemakers.

Driven by an international community of tastemakers in fashion, art, music, sport, design, and technology, Black Pyramid is a symbol for global connection, expression, and evolving street style

What a statement.

Chris Brown gets candid. While he’s shied away from the media, the R&B superstar offers a glimpse into his life in his autobiographical documentary Welcome to My Life. In the nearly three-minute trailer, Breezy reflects on his quick rise to stardom and the fallout he faced after his assault on Rihanna.

The doc, directed by Andrew Sandler and produced by Riveting Entertainment, is comprised of old and new interviews and commentary from Brown’s friends and family including his mother Joyce Hawkins, Jamie Foxx, Usher, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, and Mary J. Blige.

In addition to highlighting his success, it delves into darker times in his life, including his tumultuous relationship with Rihanna (“It was like a fairytale”), which led to drug use and even suicidal thoughts (“I was thinking about suicide and everything else”).

“I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kinda like America’s sweetheart to being public enemy No. 1,” says Brown.

Welcome to My Life does not yet have a release date. In the meantime, you can catch Breezy on his “One Hell of a Nite” tour through Europe, beginning May 22 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Fresh off the release of his second “Back to Sleep” remix featuring August Alsina, Miguel, and Trey Songz, Chris Brown gets “fearless” on the latest cover of Urban Ink.

For the magazine’s “Relaunch Issue,” CB gets his shine on. Rocking huge rings, the Royalty singer covers half of his face as tag lines surround him, including “Fearless,” “Jesus,” and “The Man Behind the Media.”

Breezy sports different looks in the magazine’s smoky photo shoot, including a ripped up Bob Marley shirt, a vintage Bartman tee, and some shirtless snaps. He switches up the footwear too, stepping out in Timberland boots and Vans for the Miguel Starcevich-shot images.

Check out highlights from the cover story, where Brown discusses his daughter Royalty, his approach to music, and his rebellious spirit.

ON HIS APPROACH TO MUSIC: “Well, it’s easy: fearlessness. It’s not arrogance; it’s fearlessness. People dog themselves before they give themselves an opportunity to fail. So I think they let other people’s insecurities bring their doubts down. I don’t let that stop anything I’m doing. It’s never worked out for me in the past, so I think that listening to myself and focusing on what I needed to do puts me in that category. So if I wanted to rap or if I wanted to yodel, I think I would have just done it anyway with the confidence of me saying, ‘I’m gonna do it.’ People usually have a lack of confidence due to insecurities. Once again, it’s not arrogance. It’s just being very aware and fearless of doing things or willing to try.”

ON ROYALTY: “When I look at her, I see myself. I see a better version of myself. I just see her future. There’s no need to go backwards. At the end of the day, you learn that life is all about choices. Life is about responsibility and, actually, life is about love. Seeing my daughter embodies everything that I need to feel a sense of fulfillment and believe in myself. Being able to have her in my life, it’s just been amazing.”

ON BEING AN INSPIRATION AND NOT A ROLE MODEL: “I would just say that I would rather be an inspiration and not a role model. Make your own decisions. You don’t have to rebel just to rebel. You don’t have to accept just to accept. If you want to get a tattoo, if you think that’s your thing, then that’s cool. I personally think that now, not having a tattoo is kind of like a statement in itself. Our generation is gonna be old, tatted, and we’re gonna look so dope. So, it’s a choice. When my fans can say, “I want to get tatted or I don’t want to get tatted.” I don’t look at them any differently.”

ON HIS CONTROVERSIAL HEAD TATTOO: “It’s just whatever. People want shock value. If I went outside butt-naked tomorrow, it would be headline news. But for me, the bull symbolizes the Taurus I am and the Aphrodite, the Goddess of all women. My stubbornness always makes me attracted to those types of females. So that’s me [the bull] chasing Aphrodite.”

ON HIS BLACK PYRAMID CLOTHING LINE: “I was always one of those kids that equated fashion with the first day of school or Christmas or the last day of school. Looking at the Eastbay [catalog], I always wanted to be one of those kids that liked ’90s urban hip-hop culture. Admittedly, I’ve always been a fan of that. I think, with my clothing line, I tried to grasp that kind of concept, but also give my fans and my core audience a chance to see what type of clothes I like, the type of stuff that I’m into and clothing that’s actually affordable. My price range is like H&M and Zara prices, so I’m not trying to crush my consumers. I want them to be able to build the brand with me. Slowly roll out pieces and hopefully some small collabs will come out. I’m just getting my feet wet in the fashion industry. I want them to be able to see that I’m actually authentic and genuine about it. Not just trying to do it because it looks nice.”

Chris Brown has been posting photos to his Instagram account using the hashtag #BlackPyramid, the name of his new clothing label. The label has been seen on celebrities here and there (Rihanna has been seen wearing it), but now it looks like they are gearing up for a larger release.

The clothing itself is streetwear with a focus on flipping popular sports logos, jerseys and apparel with the label’s own style. There are brightly colored bombers, tees, vintage-looking polos, track pants and racing jackets. The shirts all use the popular elongated cut with split and curved hems, making the style very in-the-moment and rockable.

The brand has used Chris Brown Entertainment’s Mechanical Dummy as a jumping off point. The lifestyle and culture website opened a shop in Virginia, where the Black Pyramid clothing label has been sold.

It looks like the full collection will be available soon via the Mechanical Dummy web store, although no official release date has been posted. At the very least, the clothes will be reasonably priced – Chris Brown tweeted that his “clothes are for the people. Affordable…” Are there any pieces in particular y’all are feeling, or should Chris Breezy stick to the studio?

Chris Brown has just teased us with the poster for ‘Welcome To My Life,’ a new documentary that plans to lay bare his crazy life. Keep reading for more details on the revealing film and when it will finally come out!

“He went from America’s sweetheart to public enemy number one” the tagline on the poster reads, showing a shadowy, shirtless Chris sitting cross-legged on the ground. Breezy teased it on his Instagram March 15 with the caption “Coming soon,” and with his drama-filled life, this promises to be really juicy.

Director Andrew Sandler decided to do the project with the “Royalty” singer after following him for several years, shooting his music videos and concert footage.
